CTS announces price increases on téfabloc TPE range

The recent unprecedented, continuous, and general rises in raw materials, energy, packaging and transportation costs lead up CTS Cousin Tessier (www.cts-compound.com) and TCT-Polska to implement an average price increase of 200 €/ton on their Téfabloc® range of thermoplastic elastomers. This increase will be implemented during Q3, 2008.

“Up to last year, a large proportion of the cost increases related to oil price where offset by the rise of the Euro ; this is no longer the case. The chemical corporations that supply us are imposing drastic, sudden, and non negotiable increases” a spokesman of the company indicated.
The global situation of chemical supply is moving into a high level of price volatility and , in such an environment CTS does not rule out additional price increases at the end of 3rd quarter, 2008.
