Netstal: Injection moulding machines as system solutions

With its EVOS (Photo) launched already at the K 2007, the Swiss manufacturer Netstal-Maschinen AG (www.netstal.com) exhibits an injection moulding machine which stands out by its performance capacity and energy efficiency. At this year´s Fakuma Netstal demonstrates the production of a packaging part which is typical for this model range. With a total of three machines on show at the Fakuma, all three of which as system solutions, Netstal submits proof once again of its competence and know-how in thin-walled parts and highly precise medical mouldings.

Fast-cycling thin-walled part on the EVOS
Netstal demonstrates a thin-walled packaging application on an EVOS 3500-2000. The exhibit reveals the high energy efficiency of machines of this model range with clamping forces from 3000 to 5500 kN based on a hybrid drive technology. All axes are individually and digitally closed loop controlled on the EVOS, including secondary movements such as nozzle contact pressing. Process control is further improved by this and the reproducibility is enhanced as well. Other impressive attributes of this Netstal injection moulding machine are the optimized dimensions (compact execution taking up little floor space), the increased mould build-in heights available, the integrated distribution of mediums such as water and compressed air, and the mould auxiliary controls.

Advert

The moulded article made in a 6-imp. mould of the German company ´Marbach moulds & automation´ is a rectangular container produced at an outstandingly good cycle time of less than 4 seconds. The moulding material used in this case is a polypropylene of Total Petrochemicals domiciled in Belgium. A label is applied during the moulding process by means of IML (In-Mould-Labelling). Label inserting and subsequent removal of the finished products are accomplished by a handling device which comes also from ´Marbach moulds & automation´. Messrs Motan GmbH of Germany provides the raw material feeding appliances while cooling is in the care of the Swiss manufacturer ef cooling Ernst H. Furrer AG.

Further exhibits at the Fakuma can be seen on the stands of:
• Hekuma GmbH, Hall B3, Stand 3109
A Netstal ELION 800-270 with a 32-imp. mould for pipettes

• Ilsemann Automation, Hall A7, Stand 7208
A Netstal ELION 1200-530 with a 2+2-imp. mould for containers incl. IML automation
