SABIC Europe: price increase for PP Automotive grades

The PP Automotive business unit of SABIC Europe (www.sabic-europe.com) announced today that it will increase the structural element of polypropylene pricing for all PP Automotive grades in Europe by 50 €/ metric ton as per 1st April 2006. This structural increase will be applied on top of the price increases due to changes in propylene monomer (C3) cost.

“Over the last 2 years we have all been facing a paradigm shift as we deal with the reality of feedstock materials at the new higher levels. The need to remain committed to innovation and the development of new material solutions against a backdrop of the continuing rise of all other input costs makes this adjustment to the pricing structure on top of the normal monomer adjustments inevitable” said Mark Neville, Business Unit Director of SABIC Europe – PP Automotive.
