![]() Comfortable system operation The new Windows-based visualisation software offers functionality comparable to a powerful SPS, however at a much more affordable cost/benefit ratio. These advantages become evident not least if the processor gradually upgrades the drying system in the course of a production expansion. With the additional module hopper connected via the standard plug and socket, the visualisation software automatically recognises the new component assembly and the drying hopper is operational. Each time the software is started an automatic scan of all interfaces recognises which units are currently in operation. At this level, the possibility also exists to individually name the devices, to align them according to one´s own criteria and to set the required language. From the overview screen displaying all devices and their statuses the operator can switch over to the device´s operational side with a click on the device. Here he can enter the relevant material and process parameters. In configuring the D dryer, some other parameters that the machine operator is not allowed to change are locked and only authorised for persons with a password. Any questions on the operation of the machines can be quickly answered with the directly accessible online operating manual. The possibility to record the dryer and hopper temperatures is particularly helpful for monitoring, documentation and traceability of the production process. For this, the supply and return air temperatures of all active drying hoppers and the dryer are stored as CSV files with date and time.
