Borealis: Acquisition of Bulgarian plastics recycler Integra Plastics

Borealis announces the signing of an agreement to acquire 100 percent of Integra Plastics AD, a Bulgarian advanced mechanical recycling company. The company further announces that this investment strengthens Borealis' advanced mechanical recycling portfolio with an additional annual production capacity of more than 20,000 tonnes. The closing of this transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Integra Plastics AD, based in Elin Pelin, Bulgaria, operates a modern state-of-the-art advanced mechanical recycling facility that was built in 2019. Integra Plastics is able to convert post-consumer waste into high-quality polyolefin recyclates suitable for demanding applications.
