![]() Expanded production site of masterbatch manufacturer Gabriel-Chemie in Nyíregyháza, Hungary - (Image: Gabriel-Chemie). The expansion has significantly increased the usable space in all areas. Office space was expanded from 244 square meters to 720 square meters, warehouse space from 300 to 1,000 square meters, and production space from 540 to 1,190 square meters. Additionally, a 120-square-meter maintenance area was created for the first time. The number of production lines can now be increased from ten to up to nineteen, enabling an annual production capacity of up to 2,500 tonnes in the future. In addition to structural expansion, investments were also made in modern, energy-efficient technology, including a new cooling water system, a dust extraction system with fresh air supply, the conversion to an air-source heat pump, and the air-conditioning of all offices. A particular highlight is the planned photovoltaic system with a capacity of around 250 kWp, which is expected to make a significant contribution to sustainable energy supply. With this, Gabriel-Chemie now operates its third site equipped with a photovoltaic system. Gabriel-Chemie specializes in the coloring and refinement of plastics. The company was founded in 1950 and has since been one of Europe’s largest masterbatch manufacturers. This independent, family-owned company is headquartered in Gumpoldskirchen, Austria, and has additional subsidiaries in Germany, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Spain, employing around 600 people.
