American Kuhne announced the appointment of Kevin Slusarz as a member of the Management Team in the position of Vice President, Process Technology. In this position he will manage all screw design and process evaluation, developing new screw designs as well as evolutionary improvements to existing screw designs. He will manage all lab and R&D activity and provide turn-key systems process support. Mr. Slusarz joins the company with over 21 years of hands-on extrusion process and screw design experience. As Senior Process Consultant at Davis-Standard for over 17 years, he coordinated and performed customer trials and developed screw designs for Pipe, Profile, Medical and Industrial Tubing, Sheet, Blown Film, Cast Film, Wire & Cable, Extrusion Coating, Blow Molding, Elastomer, and Reclaim. He managed system start-ups, process support of equipment, and technical sales support for both domestic and international customers. He was solely responsible for the design and optimization of systems for the Pipe, Profile and Tubing divisions. For the past 15 months, Mr. Slusarz has been the Director of Product Development for Cable Components Group LLC in Pawcatuck, CT where he developed fluoropolymer based non-woven fabrics and fibers. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering polymer concentration from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. |
